I started out as a broad digital marketer but was quickly drawn to SEO. The idea of attracting high-intent traffic organically, without relying on paid clicks – it just made sense. It felt like a more sustainable way to grow a business online.

But the more I explored, the more I saw how complex SEO really is. Between ever-changing algorithms, conflicting advice, and the sheer lack of actionable guidance, it was easy to see why so many businesses were stuck, often locked into expensive retainers with little to show for it.

That’s what pushed me toward freelancing. I wanted to offer a different kind of SEO service. One grounded in expertise, transparency, strategy, and results.

In those early days, I worked on anything I could get my hands on, client projects, my own website, dummy websites to test on and campaigns across several agencies. It was a crash course in what actually works in SEO. Just as importantly, it taught me how to bridge the gap between rankings and real business outcomes: leads and sales.

Today, I rank strongly for SEO-related terms and have worked with a wide mix of clients, from small local businesses to large ecommerce and enterprise websites.

My approach is data-driven and constantly evolving. I prioritise clear communication and full transparency, because SEO isn’t just about traffic, it’s about aligning with your business goals and making sure every tactic supports growth in the long term.

Can you get me to the number one spot on Google?

Although I have achieved number one positioning for a wide range of businesses, in a competitive niche As an ethical SEO provider I do not guarantee rankings. This is simply due to the fact that rankings aren’t completely in my control, algorithms can change, competitors can invest more and a whole range of additional factors. However, I can guarantee your website performance will improve. Most businesses do not need number #1 rankings to achieve a significant return from SEO.

What is the scope of your projects?

The scope of my projects vary based on your needs. As I work with a wide range of businesses, I can offer SEO consultancy and advice on strategy and the direction and performance of your website, or I offer full implementation for small businesses, with necessary design and development changes needed to achieve results. The scope will clearly be explained to you if you request a quote. 

How many hours do you spend doing SEO?
This will depend on the package you go with. For managed services my hourly is $100 per hour, so you will get a minimum of 10 hours work each month. For ad hoc consulting or fixed fee projects my rate is higher at $200 per hour.
What if I already work with an SEO agency?

That’s fine. If you are looking for assistance in areas they aren’t skilled in I can assist, or if you want a second opinion I can assist with an audit. My approach to auditing is from an unbiased perspective and highlighting the data available on your performance to allow you to make educated decisions about the future of your SEO.

Do you offer PPC advertising?

No. Although pay per click might seem similar, it is a very different service, and the way PPC and SEO are completed is vastly different. I would rather spend my time keeping up to date with SEO, and improving my skills in this area then spreading my time to thin learning PPC or other digital marketing strategies. An easy way to think about this, is it is like asking an electrician to fix a plumbing issue.

Can you help me appear in AI searches?

I have aided many businesses in appearing in Ai searches like Ai overview and ChatGPT through general SEO strategies. This space is evolving rapidly but there are many limitations in tracking and data to create effective SEO strategies at this stage. Although I can assist, I am transparent about the limitations in this area, and the required testing and resources for effective strategies.

What is your minimum amount for SEO?
My minimum retainer for managed SEO services is $1,000 AUD a month. This being said, this is the minimum SEO works best when businesses understand the value of SEO. I offer a transparent and consistent service, so the more you invest the quicker and better you results will be, this will also lead to me working with you more closely which leads to better strategies and better care.
